Adding and Editing orders as an Administrator through the back office.
Currently you can add orders as Administrator through the front end, however there are some limitations to that as some of the Admin tasks can not be completed properly and there is no possibility to Edit previous orders. This feature is to address these problems.
The complexity of the task requires reworking of most of the current booking process logics as many manual operations have to be added.
- Bypass Car availability check if Admin adds a car manually (car not existing in the current fleet).
- Show available cars in pop up just to suggest a car to be picked by Admin and assigned to the order.
- Car manually entered still needs to be recorded in the Order details and sent with confirmation emails and PDF receipts.
- Bypass Payment method check as Admin can manually log details of payment taken outside of the current system eg. Credit card payment by phone.
- Order Status when order is created through Admin will be set to Accepted right away and automatic email will be sent to the customer.
- Pick up address, Drop off address and Stops along the way: we will have Google address autocomplete list only
- Special Routes booking: the new system will automatically suggest price based on distance between Pick up and Drop off destinations but admin will be able to override the price manually if there is a Special offer available for these destinations.
- Hourly Booking: we will allow Pick up and Drop off fields to be optional and if the order is a Hourly hire admin will be able to use Notes to mark that.
- Custom fields: we will show all Custom fields in a Pop up to allow Admin to pick any Custom field regardless of Front end assignment
- Passengers & Suitcases: will remain with the same logic as current system so the system can try to suggest available car.
- Admin system will allow Date and time from a past date
- Admin will be able edit newly added orders including orders submitted from the front end. There will be 3 page views: One for Listing all orders; One for showing Order details; One to edit Order
We are aiming to build a flexible system that will suit best admins and users making both online and off-line Orders.
This functionality has been added to Taxi Booking 3.7 released on 26th of September 2014

What is the release date?
We are now in the testing phase of this feature. It required a lot of Order customization and will update the original Order data base table so we have to be careful and make sure that update will not destroy previous orders. Release will be in version 3.7 which is coming out in the next couple of days. Thanks.
