#2703 – Request for Customized Mileage Charging Price ISSUE

Dear Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to request assistance with a specific issue. I would like to modify the mileage charging system to charge per mile unit differently.

For your reference, I have attached a document that outlines my requirements. Please review it and let me know if this is feasible.

I have just 4 Cars Saloon Car, Estate Car, MPV, and Mini Bus. some prices are fixed. i am copying both fixed and distance fare. Is it right or not. If it is wrong please guide me how can i reslove my issue.

Hi there,
you can easily achieve this by using Distance sectors in Car management.
Go to the back end > Taxi Booking > Vehicles and click on the vehicle that you would like to edit. Then go to the Distance sectors tab.
Click on the + button to create a new Distance sector. Make sure that you select Non-cumulative sectors as your prices don't stack up for each travelled sector but are specific for each sector. And also select a Flat rate for each Distance sector that you create.

Start from 0 for your first sector.
Here is a setup example for the first 2 Distance sectors of your setup:

Distance from: 0
Distance to: 1
Price structure: Flat rate
Flat rate: 5.70

Distance from: 1
Distance to: 2
Price structure: Flatrate
Flat rate: 9.10

Continue until you create all your distance sectors for the selected car. Save and go to the next car to create the relevant distance sectors as well.

when you use distance sectors they will override the prices from the first page so these become irrelevant for all distance sectors - this price will only be used for trips outside of the distance sectors (in your case over 20 miles).

Extra charges can be done with Custom fields. Here is a tutorial about Custom fields that we have created for Taxi Booking for Joomla - there is very little difference in how these sections look but they work the same way.
Attached is an image of an example of how to set up a Parking fee per hour with the first hour mandatory at $5.
