#10 – Unable to use Taxi Booking

 Hi,

I just purchase TaxiBooking 3.4 for Joomla 2.5 but I can't use it :(

First, I could not install the module by archive installation mode. Joomla say "No installation package found" so I unpack the archive and did a "folder installation". Joomla said it's installed but I get notices errors.

When I go in TaxiBooking, I see "Strict standards" errors everywhere.
Then when I go on my website (localy by Wamp), errors everywhere and I nothing append when I click on "SEE PRICE".

I think the module is not install properly...

WAMP servers are quite difficult to configure and run a proper Joomla installation.
Strict Standards is not an error but rather a Notice that some PHP commands may be depreciated or your PHP version can not load.
You can go to your back end System > Global configuration > Server tab and set Error reporting to System default and see if that helps. However, we need to know what PHP version your WAMP server is using as both Joomla and Taxi Booking require PHP version 5.3+
Also you need cURL installed so Taxi Booking can connect to external services like Google Maps API + allow_url_fopen has to be set to ON.

Regarding installation on local windows server (using WAMP) the problem is most likely that your /tmp (temporary) folder and/or your /components and /modules folders are not writable so Joomla can not install any extensions.

My advice is to install your website in a /subfolder of your domain and make all changes and testing there then move the website to the root folder when everything is done and you are satisfied with it.
This way you can give us access to your website as well so we can take a closer look and help you should there are any issues.
It is impossible for us to help you on your local server because of the numerous factors involved setting up WAMP.

Thank you for mentioning "cURL". Although cURL was set to ENABLE in php.ini, it was not loaded...

I just upgrade WAMP to the latest version and now it's work like a charm :)
