#1500 – Change Rejected to Cancelled

 Is there an easy way for me to change "rejected" to "cancelled" both in the admin section and the emails sent to the clients?

Thanks - I know about language overrides in fact I searched for "rejected" but could only find one instance which I changed but it doesn't seem to have done anything.

What constants should I be looking for?

you have to override both front end and back end language values as they are separate.
Please do that and let us know if you find the text not changing somewhere - specify the location so we can take a look at it.

I'm having problems figuring out how to change the back end (which I think I did in this case) and front end (which I think is what I have to do next but don't know how reading the tutorials. Help!

In Joomla 3.x you have to first select the language and the location (Site or Administrator) via the Filter in the Overrides list section.
Then click on the New button in the top left corner and find the text that you need to be changed. Change it and click on Save & Close.
