#1681 – Place holder in horizontal module Hourly Hire

Hi, is it technically possible to put a place holder text to the HR field and Minutes field in Hourly hire?

Since there is no labels in horizontal module it is not obvious for client to understand what means HR and 00, especially when client is not English speaking like on the French or Russian side of our site.

You can explain the field information using the tool-tip text and the tool-tip text is translatable.

Yes, I know,
but it will be more beautiful and professional looking with place holders that client can understand from the first glance on the form.
There is an issue with the tool-tip on the smartphones, I have to click two times on the field to open a date or time picker or select a value in the drop down, sometimes tool-tip overlapping some numbers on the hours and minutes picker.



Is it technically possible?
If necessary I can pay for adding place holder in vertical and horizontal module form.

Hi Marian, I'm sorry for being so scrupulous, but about 50% of our customers are coming from the mobile devices, we need to keep a booking form easy and clear.

Hi, here is design of the horizontal form that I would like to propose.

We keep icons in the fields and add placeholders and down arrow.
We also add the place holder to the date field and make it large enough to hold all the width of the placeholder.
We have to deactivate tool-tips on the touchscreen, because we have place holders.
In the Hourly tab, we replace HR and 00 by placeholders.


We have to specify minimum width for fields to avoid squeezing on the tablet screens.


What do you think about this design?
It is not so elegant like yours, but it is more clear from the first look.
