#2124 – How do driver commissions work?

 Hi,

I have taxi booking and drivers installed. I need to set up the commissions for drivers (because of course they won't get the full amount from any trip.)

I don't see this in the documentation. Where do I find instructions to set this up?

Hi there,
at the moment there is no facility for Driver's commission apart from the text field in their profile. The field is only for your records in case they have different commission tiers but it isn't doing any automatic calculations at the moment.

Thanks. So what information do drivers get in emails? Do they get the actual price of the trip, or can I set that to be something else? Obviously, the site will be making a commission on everything, so I don't want them to get told they will get the full amount and then get less when they get paid!

At the moment the drivers see everything that is in the booking, including the full price. It is generally best that you let them know what your commission is in advance, rather than trying to hide the full amount of the trip - some orders may be paid cash to the driver and there are many more reasons why hiding the exact price would not be a good idea.
However, this is your business and we cannot advise you on how to handle it.
If you need to hide the prices in the Driver's email we will have to do some custom development and this will require a small development fee. Everything we add to the system stays on it so you can safely update in the future without losing any of the changes that we have made.
