#2189 – Stripe Authorization Only

 Hi,
We only need to capture the card details at the time of reservation.
After the services are rendered, we can process the payment.
Stripe now has this functionality

We have investigated the docs. We will try to add a new option ( Capture method: Automatic/Manual ) in the Payment method configuration. Automatic will be the current behavior and Manual will be this new feature ( Capture later ). If it's not possible to implement in this way, we will create a new payment plugin for this feature only.

One question for you, Capture method ( = manual ) means you may have to process the payment later manually from Stripe dashboard. I am not sure if there is any available webhook on the Stripe dashboard which fires on manual capture. If there is nothing, you have to update the Order status manually as well on the TaxiBooking backend Orders screen.

If you don't want to do anything manual, we can add a button "CAPTURE" on the Order details screen, clicking on this button will capture the payment and update the order status automatically. This will require more development time.

Please let us know which you prefer.

It will be much more convenient if we do not have to log in to Stripe each time to approve or process the payment.
It will be way better if we can add a button "CAPTURE" on the Order details screen, clicking on this button will capture the payment and update the order status automatically.
