#567 – How to enable Order Id instead of order reference in order emails

 Hi Mr. Kanev,

I would like to ask you how to show the Order Id and not the Order Number in the order emails.

In the previous order emails for both the comkpany order email and client order email in the order details the component showed the OrderId and not the Order Number, that shows now.

By showing the Order Number instead of Order Id, it is confusing for me and for my clients since it is more difficult to find the order in the site.

In the past the client give me the order id, which was a number, now it has to give me all that string of alphanumeric characters. As you may understand there is a big difference on company - client comunication.


Can you please help me, order emails to show the order id instead of order number.

Hi Mr. Zervos,
Order ID before was the Order number, we have changed that to more secure order ID because Order number can be security weakness finding other user's invoices etc. although we are taking all precautions for that to be impossible.
At the moment we can not change back and show order number but you can search the back end Orders with the Order ID by copy and paste in the search field or you can search by Customer name or by date. Search should be quite flexible and help you find what you are looking for.
