#136 – Editing booking form content

 Hi,

We would like to make the following changes to the booking form process, but can't find anywhere where these files are to be edited.

1. Permantely fix the Pick up and Drop off destinations (IE no drop down) Have both start and end points already selected. (placeholder to be already selected to option 1)

2. Adding in Custom Fields on Booking Tab for Return tick box & times. (can't get this to work on Shuttle tab) Seems to be only appearing in USER DETAILS. How can we get this onto the Booking Tab??

3. Remove text area from USER DETAILS
From: From down to Message optional (where to we remove this??)

4. Also.. On BOOKING SUMMARY
How can remove: Coupon Code, Edit Personal Details & Terms to be removed.

5. How do we set the Booking to Automatically Confirmed???

Also.. With Shuttles.. We've set the maximum capacity to book to 9 people. But if we book again for another 9 people.. it allows me too.. how can we say that this Shuttle is FULLY BOOKED??!!

(placeholder to be already selected to option 1) - this is not possible at the moment. We are now working on Booking by URL where you will be able to set Pick up and Drop off destinations and when a user clicks on the URL those destinations will be pre-filled in the booking form. Would that help you?
2. Adding in Custom Fields on Booking Tab for Return tick box & times. (can't get this to work on Shuttle tab) Seems to be only appearing in USER DETAILS. How can we get this onto the Booking Tab?? - on Shuttle booking tab there is no Return as Shuttle routes are usually circular so the user has to book both trips outbound and return separately. For that reason Custom fields can only be used in the User details screen for Shuttle booking tab.
3. Remove text area from USER DETAILS
From: From down to Message optional (where to we remove this??) - at the moment this can be done in the code or via CSS but we may make these Custom fields and as they are optional you will be able to unpublish them.
4. Also.. On BOOKING SUMMARY
How can remove: Coupon Code - , Edit Personal Details & Terms to be removed. - you can use some CSS overrides to hide these fields: http://kanev.com/blog/19-joomla-components-css-override, however, Terms and Conditions is mandatory field and is important for Anti spam and user protection so you may use it for Privacy notice or other website use related information.
5. How do we set the Booking to Automatically Confirmed??? - you can set that at Payment Methods > Configuration tab but not available for Cash payments for spam and security reasons

Regarding Shuttle booking seats problem this should not be happening as the system is checking sold seats and blocking off same seats to be double sold for the same shuttle route. Please check again and make sure that you are checking the same Shuttle route, if the problem still exists please open PRIVATE ticket with temporary back end and FTP log in details so we can take a closer look.

Ok.. re: Booking automatically.. where do i do this in Payment method. I've changed to Paypal. But it still comes up as 'Waiting'.

Also want to know how to change the text in the order email.

PayPal is known to have issues with IPN (Instant Payment Notification) in Sandbox (test) accounts if the currency is different than USD $ but it works fine with Live transactions.
IPN is what changes the status from Waiting to Accepted and we know for a fact that it is working.
Do you experience the problem with Sandbox account or have you seen this with live transactions as well?
Which version of Taxi Booking are you using?

Hi.. I've tried this on the live version. All our trips though are FREE, as its a free shuttle bus. And we want auto activation on each over. At the moment on live Paypment, they still say 'waiting'.

if your trips are Free then PayPal will not return IPN as there is no payment made.
You should use Cash payment but rename it to something more meaningful for Free orders eg. Free booking. This is necessary because a payment method has to be associated with each order.
In the upcoming version 3.9.1 we will add the Status options to Cash payment method as well.

Thanks for that.. but I've set it to both Cash & Paypal... and none Auto approve.. a the moment it can only be done manually via each order.

I need this to auto approve on a FREE sale.

to make it easier to offer Free services through Taxi Booking we have added an option in Settings > Price settings > Auto approve Free orders: Yes/No which should help you with your problem.
This additions is in version 3.9.1 which is available for download and update from the server, please update and let us know if you still have problems.
