#200 – Google Map Error

 Trying to implement new POI's into system. Entering them in is fine, but on front end.. I get a error message.

The geocode was successful but returned no results. This may occur if the geocoder was passed a non-existent address.

I've tried with and without the Google API.. same error

Google API may return that error message if any direction route is not found between Pickup and Dropoff points. Please check those points again. If you still see that error, please provide more details (with screenshots if possible) about the journey points with Temporary back end and FTP log in details to your website in a PRIVATE ticket so we can take a closer look and help you with your issue.

Hi.. I've looked at the Entry of the POI.. and When I insert Los Angeles Airport or LAX (which is a common destination) it cannot auto find it, and I have to insert it manually with Google Long & Lat codes..

Why is this?? Is this why I get an GEOCODE error? I want to insert all international airports (most common ones) buts its not finding the Geocodes... what the???

Hi Edwards,

When you start typing in title field in POI edit screen at backend, you will get a autocomplete list of places provided by Google. If you choose one place from the list, Latitude and Longitude will be automatically filled in. If you don't want to use that list, just type in the title and enter appropriate Lat-Long values. There is nothing we can do here if Google does not provide common places like Los Angeles Airport or LAX etc.

Does that mean that the system - should still work - even if I put anything in title, but as long as the LONG & LAT are correct - it should work fine??

Yes, system will work fine as long as co-ordinates are correct, title is not important. Title is to show in POI list at frontend booking form.
