#2090 – Translation Problems

 Hello again.
Please let us know how we can solve this problem:
Our website is in 3 languages. We also use the booking module in 3 languages.
If the customer makes a reservation on our website, the voucher is made in the language he chooses, in this case Portuguese.
However, if we create the order directly, the voucher is always sent in English, except for Custom Fields, which in this case come out in Portuguese.
We sent attachment 2 files with both situations.
In addition, we are unable to translate the Payment Name and Message fields, because we cannot find them anywhere so we can translate.
The order status does not appear on the Portuguese voucher either. It only appears on the English voucher.
Just one more thing ... how can we change the order of the custom fields that appear on the voucher? We want the collection name to appear before the collection address.

Hi,

Sorry for a little delay, your message is always important to us.

1) If you create an order from backend, that should always be submitted with English language, so the custom fields for English language should also be visible. However, I can see the Portuguese custom fields in the attached image, we need to debug this to find out the reason, we need temporary backend and FTP access to your website.

2) Payment Name is coming from the associated payment plugin language file, for example if an order is submitted with Cash payment method, this term will come from SITE_ROOT/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_tbpayment_cash.ini file.

Message seems a custom field assigned to all language, hence its showing for Portuguese language as well, please check your backend custom fields section.

3) NEW_ORDER_EMAIL_ORDER_ID_STATUS="ORDER ID %s STATUS: %s"

I guess this term NEW_ORDER_EMAIL_ORDER_ID_STATUS is not translated properly in the SITE_ROOT/language/pt-PT/pt-PT.com_taxibooking.ini file, please note the last bolded %s, it might be missing.

We have already corrected the custom field as suggested and the problem has been solved.
Regarding the translation of the payment method, what is the form for having it in the 3 languages we use?
We checked in the plugin, but it doesn’t allow us to do anything about the languages.
Regarding the language in the orders, how can we issue backend orders in languages other than English ??
It makes no sense to issue orders in English to Spanish or Portuguese customers.

The string "Payment Name" is related to payment plugin and hence it is coming from payment plugin INI file.

TBPAYMENT_CASH_PAYMENT_NAME="Payment Name" in Cash plugin INI
TBPAYMENT_PAYPAL_PAYMENT_NAME="Payment Name" in the PayPal plugin INI

You should have separate INI files for all the payment plugins for all your languages in your website.

SITE_ROOT/administrator/language/pt-PT/pt-PT.plg_tbpayment_cash.ini for cash plugin in Portuguese language folder.

All that's missing is the question you didn't answer, which is:

Regarding the language in the orders, how can we issue backend orders in languages other than English ??

we will have to create a facility for admins to select in which language they want the order to be stored and the confirmation to be sent - Taxi Booking has always offered just the convenience of back end order submission but it has never been a major functionality.

If you would like us to add language selection to back end order it will cost £230 to develop, test and support in the future.
