 Hi.
I wondered if you could advise, We have a ford galaxy, up to 4 passengers it uses a normal tarrif but over 4 passengers it would be £2.30 pp i.e. 6 passengers - this would be 2 x £2.30 extra. Also during peak this would be £2.70pp.

Thanks Mark

Hi markholland8,
at the moment you can't add Additional passenger charge to each car.
There is a work around this but you will have to create separate cars to achieve it.
You can Duplicate your 4 seat car and set the new one with Minimum passengers 5 Maximum 5 which means that this car will be shown only if 5 passengers are selected at the front end. Then add Additional price of £2.30 to capture the extra payment.
Do the same for Minimum 6 Maximum 6 passengers and add Additional price of 2 x £2.30 = 5.60 for this car.
Same would be the path for Peak hours where you can also set the Availability of these cars for the hours you want them to show up at the front end.

We have researched the possibility to add Additional passenger and luggage charge and published it in our crowdfunding section for future development: http://kanev.com/development/taxi-booking/1-add-price-per-passenger-and-additional-luggage-charge
Feel free to contribute if you are interested.

Hope this helps.
Best regards.

Hi,
Please see attached, i have set it up as advised and i have a an issue, basically it shows a car hire at zero cost and one with the correct price.

Also i have noticed that some of the prices that are generated, have odd numbers where it should be increments of 2.40 the final peice on one of the prices was £21.53, where is is getting 53 pence from.

Thanks Mark Holland

Hi Mark,
at Taxi Booking back end > Settings > General Price settings you will see an option Debug price calculation. Set that to Yes and when you are logged in at the front end as Super user or Administrator you can see the Price calculation for each car in the Car results table.

This way you will be able to determine which tariffs are used depending on Car availability for the selected booking time.

In the same General Price settings panel you can see some Rounding up options that you can use if you don't want prices like £21.53
Explanation of each back end option can be seen when you mouse over the Label.

Hope this helps.
Let us know if you still have problems after that.

Best regards.

It is still showing 2 cars (1 off peak £238 and a peak £0), from a customers point of view they would choose the free taxi as opposed to paying £238 and this is not good. It is showing an off peak car an a peak car however in my tariffs all off peak cars are set between 7am-10pm and all peak are 10pm - 7am, nd in my cars settings this is reflected. HOWEVER when i do a booking for 1pm from Bristol AP to Birmingham AP it is showing an peak taxi at £0.

Also i have just done a 5+ passenger booking and it adds 2 x people carriers as well but one is £0 peak and one is the actual taxi.

What i need to do is not show only one car with the correct price for the correst time of day i.e. peak/off peak

Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,

We have fixed that issue on your site, right now one appropriate car will be shown. One thing we have noticed that You are trying to setup continuous availability of a car between weekdays, this is not supported at this moment. Like you set availability for all peak cars 10pm - 7am, this leads to overlapping between 2 days. In the Car Availability section with all days of the week check boxes, you can select only the days that this car is available and Available from and Available to time pickers to set up at what time shift of the car starts and what time it ends on only that day.

We will add this fix in next release so that you can safely update.

Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot

Hi Mark,
A work around having Cars for night tariffs is to create 2 separate cars for nights. I think I have mentioned that to you before.
One car should cover 22:00 to 23:55 and another one from 00:00 to 7:00 am and assign them to the same night tariff.

Hope this helps.
Best regards.

Ok thanks it seems to be working ok now, just a question, I had to set 2 cars (22:00 to 23:55 and another one from 00:00 to 7:00 am) but it still displayed 2 cars, so i created 2 tariffs in the same way and it worked, is this correct?

Anyway thanks for your help its been great and the booking system is second to none.

Have a great new year Mark.

Hi Mark,
a tariff should work to all vehicles it has been assigned to as long as Tariff time and Car availability are overlapping.
We are glad that you have managed to sort everything out.

Best regards and Happy New Year.
