I need some help on integrating taxibooking pro into my current website which i am designing in html.
I am using localhost and have successfully setup Joomla and installed the taxi booking component.

Just do not have a clue on how to put the two together now, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joomla is installed under its own directory i. e xmapp/site and website currently another folder.

Hi sheikh_nav,
you can simply integrate Taxi Booking in an HTML website via iFrame by adding
<iframe src="http://yourwebsite.tld/menu-item?tmpl=component"></iframe>
where "http://yourwebsite.tld/" is your Joomla installation and "menu-item" is the Menu to Taxi Booking component.
However, you will need to have your Joomla website installed on live server, localhost will not work as outside of your network computers have to connect to your website via the Internet.

Here is a link to an iFrame tutorial: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp

And here is an article on how to use Taxi Booking in Facebook page: http://kanev.com/docs/taxi-booking/facebook-integration but the above iFrame example is sufficient to integrate Taxi Booking in your HTML website.

Hope this helps.
Best regards.

ok, thanks I have a better understanding of how this works now. Still no luck though.

"However, you will need to have your Joomla website installed on live server, localhost will not work as outside of your network computers have to connect to your website via the Internet."

This is for development only, not a finally solution to hosting taxi booking.

Not sure if i am getting the menu-item correct in my link.

thanks

Hi sheikh_nav,
maybe a practical example will help you.
Assuming that you have Joomla SEF enabled and Menu item to Booking form created for Taxi Booking.
If you look at our Demo1 website Taxi Booking Form is publish in Menu item "Book online" and the URL to it is http://taxibookingpro.com/demo1/en/book-online

Hope this helps.
Best regards.

I have a joomla site live, hosted with Siteground I think so I have managed to get my head around the the links and Iframes .

However the booking component does not automatically fit into the Iframe. I understand that taxi booking is responsive design which i have taken into consideration when designing my site. Is there a fix for this? I have already tried normal css coding and this does not work.
Also in the update version, users can now login etc from the tab. Is there a method in which I am able to just hypelink from my site.

thanks

Hi sheikh_nav,
Taxi Booking should fit the iFrame but it also depends on the dimensions of the iFrame you have created.
Please provide your site URL so we can take a look at it.

"Is there a method in which I am able to just hypelink from my site." - what exactly are you trying to achieve here? You can link to Taxi Booking by using the Joomla link to Taxi Booking's component on any external website but the users will be taken to your Joomla installation if they click on that link.

Best regards.

Hi,

I am using localhost, however Joomla and taxi booking component are hosted on a live server. Could this be the problem?

Using <iframe> tag in html linking to the live joomla site.

CSS:

.iframesize {
height:100%;
width:100%;
border:hidden;
}

I wanted to know if it is possible to directly hyperlink to the new login in tab (appears next to address etc) in the taxi booking component.

Also how do I add the taxi booking module using iframe tag or is this not possible.

Thanks
sheikh nav

Hi again sheikh_nav,
we won't be able to help you debug Taxi Booking's display in iFrame until you provide us with live URL where we can take a look.
Your iFrame shouldn't be 100% wide but a static width which you also have to sync with the parent <div>

At the moment there is no URL link to My Orders tab as the tabs are JavaScript controlled by jQuery UI.
And you are not able to add Taxi Booking module in iFrame as not all operations are available in the Module. It's purpose is to redirect to Taxi Booking component page if used on different Joomla pages.

Hope this helps.
Best regards.
