#297 – Paypal payment status not working correctly in order email

 Hi Mr. Kanev,

I would like to inform you that the returned order status from paypal is not correct in the order email.

We have tested the paypal payment with canceling the payment from paypal and also completing the payment from paypal. In both cases the order status in the order email comes as waiting. allthough i have set the paypal setting for each transaction types as you can see in the screenshot.

Can you plsease check it and inform me how to fix that issue.

From the attached image, I noticed that you have set Sandbox as NO and change in order status based on Transaction properly. (Sandbox Transactions always send Transaction status as Pending, so that does not change the order status to Accepted.) But, still that is not working, so now, we have to debug the PayPal response returned when a transaction is processed. Please provide Temporary back end and FTP log in details to your website in a PRIVATE ticket so we can take a closer look and help you with your issue.

Hi Evangelos,

We have debugged the PayPal Transaction Response by using IPN simulator. If returned payment_status is Completed and paid amount and currency is the same as Order amount and currency, that order gets Accepted/Approved automatically. We have submitted few test orders and removed those after testing completed. You can also check by using IPN simulator. Here is how to use IPN simulator.

IPN handler URL will be http://www.onlinetaxi.gr/index.php?option=com_taxibooking&controller=pluginresponse&task=pluginnotification&tmpl=component.

We have enabled debugging Paypal response in your server, so please try again on your side so that we can debug the paypal response. Please specify Order Number/Order ID also.
