Hello Kanev,

I have run a few tests and I notice that the order emails are filtered as spam by google. The orders are received through www.blueairporttaxi.com. The email at Joomla's backend (Global config -> Server ->Mail Settings) is booking@blueairporttaxi.com

I am quite new to joomla. I have tried to check the other tickets here to see if somebody else had the same issue but I couldn't find. Can you help on that.

Thank you for all the help so far!

Best Regards,
Achilleas

Hi Achilleas,
you have set up the correct email, Spam filters do check if the From email is the same as the domain, blueairporttaxi.com in your case.
However, if the domain itself have a bad reputation or the server of the hosting company then it is likely that the emails end up in Spam folders.
You can check with your hosting provider and there are some online services that would tell you the likelihood of your emails ending up in Spam.
As far as Joomla is concerned you have done the right thing but Joomla does not play a big role in your emails ending up in Spam.

Sorry I can't be of more help but emails are not really our speciality.
The best practice I can think of is to ask your customers to add booking@blueairporttaxi.com to their Address books so your emails never end up in their Spam folders.

Best regards.

Hello Kanev,

I am still troubled with the spam issues.

I used http://www.mail-tester.com/ to help me understand what are the problems and I get the scores below. Do you have the time to check a little?

-1.731 DEAR_SOMETHING Contains 'Dear (something)'
-0.1 DKIM_SIGNED Message has a DKIM or DK signature, not necessarily valid
This negative score will become positive if the signature is validated. See immediately below.
0.1 DKIM_VALID Message has at least one valid DKIM or DK signature
Great! Your signature is valid
0.1 DKIM_VALID_AU Message has a valid DKIM or DK signature from author's domain
Great! Your signature is valid and it's coming from your domain name
-0.001 HTML_MESSAGE HTML included in message
No worry, that's expected if you send HTML emails
-1.105 MIME_HTML_ONLY Message only has text/html MIME parts
You should also include a text version of your message (text/plain)
-1.274 RDNS_NONE Delivered to internal network by a host with no rDNS
This may be a false-positive, please check the reverse DNS test below to confirm or not this issue
0.001 SPF_PASS SPF: sender matches SPF record
Great! Your SPF is valid

Hi M5selen,
I'm sorry but we don't have the time or resources to get into email delivery debugging.
Besides, this is something only your hosting company can help you with as they have full control of your hosting server.

Best wishes.
