#457 – Cookie

I'm install plug in for cookie wich i need in my country. Now book form does not work.
I get message that i did not allow cookie.
If i disable plugin everything work fine, but in my country i can't use website without.

I find these

+ Integrated EU Privacy plugin - if user doesn't accept cookies the booking form will be invisible.

Well these not help me much since dont know how to accept cookies for your form. I can not find how to disable these.

Hi Marko,

If you install cookie/privacy plugin and enable it, then booking form will not work without accepting cookie. If this plugin is enabled, user should see a warning message something like "We use cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website....." at the top and user has to click on accept cookie button. Once clicked, booking form will work as usual. As this plugin is a must to use (if this is installed and enabled), so we did not think of disabling this feature in our booking form also.

Is working ok. I just need to clear cache in administrator, both my site and admin. then clear my browser, and put my test site from off to online, then it work like should. Before i allow cookie and form didn't work, i was frustrating about these. Thank you for your answer. Best regards.

Hi Marko,
We have had problems with this EU privacy plugin as well. When the website caches with the plugin enabled and cookies accepted users can not log in to their account.
It is best you ask for support that plugin developer - we have asked but did not get a reply, or look for alternative to avoid problems in the future.

You can clear cache and get your website working but your customers won't.

If these EU plugin make too much troubles, maybe i will put, just some notice on first page, that we use cookies ant if they dont lake that, they should stop using our page.
I don't know if these legal here.

we have started using an open source external of Joomla cookie script that you can get for free here: https://silktide.com/tools/cookie-consent/

It shouldn't create any problems so you can test it as well and let us know if this works for you.
