#493 – Extras in percentage

Is there any way of charging an extra as a percentage of the Total?

Hi Jay,
not at the moment.
You can charge % of the total as Tax, configured at Payment methods and as Service charge, configured at Settings > General price settings.
Tax is mandatory charge and Service charge/Tip is voluntary.

Thank you. I'm affraid none works for the purpose I need. It is to charge for service out of normal hours and I'm trying to workaround not to duplicate all routes with out of hours prices.
I wonder if it would work creating a custom field that would not be entered at confirmation time but we can edit the order before accepting it. The ocurrences are not so much anyway. What you think? Sorry I'm trying to find alternatives.

For out of hours bookings you don't need to duplicate all Special routes but have different Cars instead - One available at day time and one at night time (night time starts at 00:00 so if you need different price before 00:00 you will need another night car from xx:xx to 23:55).
Then in Special routes just have different prices for the different cars.
Only the car that's available for the selected from customer time will be shown with the relevant price for the trip.

Yes, I didn't express well. It is basically duplicating cars for each route. I was trying to have less work than that :-)

Sorry Jay, this is the least work you can do with the current set up.
