#653 – SSL Required

I am trying to setup the Taxibooking. It says requests to this API must be done over SSL? Does this mean that I have to have an SSL certificate from my website that is Certified, etc to make the request to google?

I was needing to get all this going rather quickly, but if I've got to setup the SSL stuff it's going to take some time. Is there no way to do this without SSL?

Hi Shane,
you don't really need SSL for your website.
You don't need Google Maps API key either, Taxi Booking will work without a key.
This is only required if you have Business account with Google and you receive over 2500 API calls at your website for 24 hours.
Just leave all API related fields empty and everything will work.
