#664 – Custom Pricing, unique scenario, how to?

We have a unique situation where we want to charge as follows and I cannot figure out how to configure it:

Initial Call Charge : $45
Additional cost for 0-10mi. $0
Additional Cost per mile >10 mi. at $1 per mile


So a 15 mile trip would be:

Initial Call: $45
since 15 miles is greater than 10 we have 5 extra miles= $5

Total Charge $45+$5=$50

Any ideas how to accomplish this?

you can do what you are looking for with Distance sectors.
In Car management > Edit car make Additional Car type charge: 45 and then scroll down to Distance sectors (you will need to set Use car as taxi: Yes, Price per unit override: Yes to be able to see all pricing options for a single car).
Click on "Add new" button to add new Distance sector.
Distance from: 0
Distance to: 10
Price: 0
will set your first 10 miles at 0 so only the Additional Car type charge of $45 is applied as Total for any distance between 0 and 10 miles.
"Add new" distance sector and set:
Distance from: 10
Distance to: 10000
Price: 1
to add $1 per mile for any distance over 10 miles.
So in your example journey of 15 miles will be $45 + (5x$1) = $50
