Can you just check and see if this is right please?

I want the price of a taxi to go down from £1.55 per mile to £1.30 per mile after 25 miles.

In the settings I have clicked cumulative

and added 2 new distance sectors as shown in attached image.

And can you explain the outbound and return discount parts? does it mean I just have to create 1 distance sector and start it at 25 (as shown in bottom one on pic) and put in 15% in there?

Last thing, I don't have any tarifs set, I have just been doing it per vehicle by doing price override. if I have the cumulative set, do I need to leave the override part blank or do I still need to put the start price in there?

Thanks in advance

Hi Clair,
you are setting distance sectors correctly. You should always start the next sector from the mile value you finished the previous one like you show in your example.
Discounts will work with just adding a number without % sign (the system does the calculation automatically for you) - these discounts are done for particular clients who use them and are part of their pricing policy so please make sure that these are applicable to you.

A great way to check price calculation is by enabling Price debugging in back end Settings > Price settings. This will show to only logged in administrators complete Price calculation under each car in second step of the booking process.

Distance sectors are to control price by distance where Tariffs are to control the price by time of the day.
You can create different Tariffs and assign them to different or the same cars.
Price override has to always be set to Yes (No will be only applicable if all your cars have the same pricing).
Here is a link to Tariffs documentation that may help you better understand Tariffs: https://kanev.com/blog/33-set-tariffs-for-taxi-booking

Hope this helps.
Kind regards.

Hi,

The discounts are showing as a Fixed Price instead of a % - You said to leave the % out and it would auto calculate?

I tried with and without to be sure and both times it takes off £15 instead of 15%

Hi Claire,
it might be Flat rate instead of % - this option was added to the software on one specific client request which the client paid for and that was quite some time ago. They had their own table with Fixed Prices and this was the only way that they could get the pricing set up according that table.

I apologise that I mislead you but our documentations says:
Outbound discount: - discount % for this Distance sector.
Return discount: - discount % if this Distance sector is used when Return trip is selected.

I tried to check on your website but I'm getting this message: Browser API keys cannot have referer restrictions when used with this API.
You should properly add your website URL into Google Developer Console Browser API key settings eg. *test.com* where * is used as wildcard.

In any event I wanted to point out that only numbers are accepted in price settings fields - without $, %, £ signs.

Please check your website again and let us know when the API key is sorted so we can investigate Discount issues further.

Kind regards.

Well I don't know how but the API key in the settings had changed, it was the browser one twice instead of the browser and the server......odd as I haven't touched it since putting them in and it's all been working fine.

Annnnnnnyway

I have only numbers put in.

So are you saying it's not a %? as I need journeys over a specific amount of miles to take 10% off the entire trip

Thanks
