I was trying to confirm if the text translated via translations is correct in the ini file. I downloaded the administrator/pt-PT.com_taxibooking.ini and the file stops on line 19.
I made a fresh download and it is the same. I think something is wrong.

And pt-PT.mod_taxibooking.ini stops at line 40, I'm not sure but I think the translation has more text.

Thanks
Jay

Hi Jay,

We have downloaded the Portuguese package for both Component and Module, all the .ini files are loading all translated texts. Actually, ini files for other languages except English will load only translated texts, all texts will be loaded in English ini file only. Joomla works in this way, if it does not find a text key in translated ini file, then it will load English translation for that text key. So, its not necessary to load all texts in translated ini file again.

About administrator/pt-PT.com_taxibooking.ini, there are 13 Portuguese translated texts for backend, so only 13 texts are being loaded in that ini file. Same for pt-PT.mod_taxibooking.ini.

Hope I have explained well.

Thanks a lot

Yes, I understood and I know if the translations isn't there it will be loaded the english language.
The point is I think the portuguese .ini files may be corrupted for some reason (could be any accentuation or special character problem?) because the mod is fully translated and the com is almost fully translated, so the ,ini file should have much more text.
It stoped at line 19 and I can't figure out what could possibly caused that because I don't know the sequence of the text in the translation.

I have translated much more text. Now if I go to translations and search for the last text in the com.ini file and see that it counts only two pages in the footer and 24% of the translation completed and I think is was more.

Hi Jay,
the problem must have been not saving \n in translations which you have reported in ticket 504. This has been fixed now so there should not be a problem any more.

Please test and let us know if you find anything else.

Kind regards,

I ask you please to give this issue a good looking. I saves the two translations that have backslashes, installed pt-PT.com_taxibooking.ini and the file still doesn't have all the translation. Now it has ONE more line. The file stops at line 20.

Hi Jay,
I'm afraid we don't really understand what your issue is.
We have downloaded the language package as well. It shows:
315 strings in the site language file.
20 strings in administrator language file.
19 strings in the system administrator language file.
This is about right looking at the 24% of translation to Portuguese language in the Translation section.

Kind regards,
